Baltimore Harbor - USS Constellation

We decided to visit the "Big Pirate Boat" in the harbor; the USS Constellation.

It's doesn't look as big as it actually is. Especially from the inside, and doubly so after visiting a submarine.

On the Deck, top side.

One deck below. All open.

In one end, the kitchen: A stove. A table shows the kinds of foods eaten by the sailors.

The officers get to eat in a nice big room.

In the deck below, the sleeping quarters for the crew.

Téo gives it a try.

On the deck below that, the hold. Empty now, but imagine it full of water barrels, food, etc.

Back on top, a nice view of the Aquarium and Power Factory.

Baltimore Harbor Submarine

Knobs and levers and buttons, oh my!

Yep. This is without a doubt, officially Téo Heaven.

The most important part of the submarine: The coffee dispenser.

Téo is NEVER going to leave this room...

The officer quarters.

On deck, trying to climb the con tower.

We wanted to go there, but the entrance wait was too long...

Christmas Morning

At some ungodly hour in the morning:

Where's the coffee?

Moving on from the stockings to the tree.

Wow!

Hey's there more hiding back here!

Wow 2! (or 3 or 4 or 12...)

Wow x!

Sharing the moment across the ocean.

Lunch, Portuguese-style.

Playing in the snow.

It snowed over Thanksgiving, and quite a bit more last night. The schools were delayed 2 hours, but from where we are, there's doens't seem to be much of a reason why...

The icier, the bigger the snow ball! (ouch!)

Learning the basics of a making the perfect Calvin Snow Ball.

New Ikea line.

Ikea has a new line of furry reindeers and small boys. $2.99 each. We thought of getting a new one, but we took the old one back home with us. After all, we're kind of attached to him now. ;-)

It's a picture of ... Poseidon!

A spot of the sidewalk, in front of Office Depot, on Rockville Pike. What you see depends on what you want to see...

Natural History Museum

We went to visit the Natural History Museum.
Naturally, Téo wanted to go straight to the Geology section. Dinosaurs? Bah. Old news...

Here, Deb and Brenda admire the Hope Diamond.

A view of the minerals section, and below, a few of the minerals on display:
