Coming back from Kindergarten

Here comes the bus...

... and out comes Téo ...

... glances at us. "Of course they are here." And starts looking for the friend he made on the bus...

... and there he is. "Can I go play at his house?" is his first question.

So did the day go well? I'd say so. :-)

Téo Bus Pickup for First Day of Kindergarten

An important day, today: Téo's first day of Kindergarten. He's been a little nervous, and a whole lot apprehensive...

Waiting for the bus...

A big send-off kiss from Mommy and...

... off you go!

Riding into the sun... (Fill-in appropriately significant metaphore here. ;-)

Great Falls

Téo is ready for a forest adventure with his explorer backpack, filled with magnifying glass, binoculars, kid swiss army knife, a bottle of water, and a glass box for collection.

We found (and caught and released) a beautiful and irridescent Five-Striped Skink (a juvenile, by the blue tail)

The old canal boats are no longer working, but you can still visit one.

Afternoon at Sandy Point Beach, Maryland

This is Sandy Point Beach, right by the Chesapeak Bay Bridge. We tried a couple other more secluded spots a bit more south, but they were all closed...

The water was WARM. Probably about 85 to 90 F. It was warmer than the pool at home, and it's heated to 85F.

Watching a beautiful sunset over Anapolis while enjoying the local icecream makes for a very pleasant evening.

Pool Party

Téo loves the water wings because "they make me unsinkable!" as demonstrated here.

After a few beers, the residents groove to the music. (Even with the beer's lowered inhibitions, it helped that there was a $50 gift certificate for whomever danced "best".)
